Class Observation - General Feedback

Last one month, I have been observing different teachers class.

How do they teach?

What are the activities they are giving?

How is their class management ?

After going through few class observation , I just noted the following things.

I would like to extend to you the best regards and the best wishes and guidance.

One common thing is very clear that our teachers need to concentrate in activity oriented classes. Rest of the “positive and need works” feedback is given below.

POSITIVE POINTS :

1. Mostly all teachers have a positive approach, They are enthusiastic and self motivated and are trying to do their best.
2. Most of them have a satisfactory command over English.
3. Most of them knew their students well.
4. Majority of them use questioning technique to carry on with the lesson. Students were responding to teachers instruction.
5. Few of the lesson were quite creative and well organised.
6. Majority of the lesson had cross curricular link and real life connection.

NEED TO WORK ON :

1. In a class of 40 min Teachers talk exceeded more than 20min, in other words, teacher dominated the entire lesson. It has to be changed to activity oriented.
2. In majority of the lesson, there were no room for creative thinking, Students were mere listener and follower.
3. In majority of the class, seating arrangement need to be worked on as it is not feasible for active learning.
4. In few Classes , there is no coordination with current syllabus.
5. Majority of the lesson did not cater to higher order of blooms taxonomy Such as
   • Application
   • Analysis
   • Synthesis
     Evaluation
6. In few lesson, white board need to be more organised. Teaching aids were very less used.
