Empowering School Librarians to Combat Disinformation

Happy to share my experience attending the 3-day WikiLib Conference in Mexico City, Mexico! This enriching event brought together librarians worldwide, including representatives from the National Library of Brazil, Israel, Greece, and various community and school libraries.

The conference highlighted  the important role school librarians play in combating disinformation, especially in today's digital landscape. As educators, it's our responsibility to equip students with the skills to identify reliable sources and navigate online information complexities.

To address this need, we're excited to launch a working community of practice for school librarians focused on promoting media literacy, critical thinking, and effective use of platforms like Wikimedia.
