First International Library Conference- Dubai

I had the opportunity today to participate in the first Dubai International Library Conference 2024 (DILC 2024), a landmark event in the Middle East and North Africa region under the inspiring slogan “Our Libraries, Past, Present and Future.”

The conference was a melting pot of ideas and discussions, focusing on the important role of educators in school libraries, the importance of librarians in enhancing the reliability of internet resources through Wikimedia, and innovative ways to make libraries more engaging for students in the age of AI.

Empowering Educators: How educators can integrate Wikimedia into their teaching to enrich students’ learning experiences.

The sessions by Vipin SJ, Alice Kibombo, and Serine Ben Brahim were truly inspiring! Thank you for sharing innovative ideas on effectively utilizing Wikimedia libraries and highlighting the opportunities for librarians to enhance the reliability of the internet.

This conference also provided a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with my former colleagues Vandna Sharma and Arunima NV, as well as to build new connections with others. Thank you all.
